Interstitial Lasertherapy

How does it work?

A new technique, the so-called percutaneous interstitial lasertherapy (with the use of a sterile catheter), allows us to bring the laser light even more powerful into the depth of the tissue for a successful treatment of herniated disks or spinal stenosis or even for an intraarticular treatment. With this technique it is possible to irradiate directly inside of damaged joints which leads to much better therapeutic results.

Penetration depths of up to 10 cm can be reached. Also green and blue lasers, which are normally absorbed directly by the tissue, can be applied deep in the joints and develop their anti-inflammatory effects.

Furthermore it offers the option to treat tumours with combined photodynamic therapy.
