Medical Laser Applications

The Principle

Lasers are successfully used in medicine since a long time. This holds particularly true for hard lasers that are used in surgery. In recent years, Low- Intensity- Lasers became more and more important as their range of applications is extremely broad. They can be used for external, intraarticular, interstital, intravenous and photodynamic treatments.

After years of development, highly focused lasers (laser needles) enable the application of laser light deep in the tissue. Thereby, reparative effects of a great variety can be achieved in the tissue by a combination of different laser wavelengths (red, infrared, green and blue laser).
